The Handbuilt Show

Another Handbuilt Show has come and gone. This year, like all the others, left no room for disappointment. The Handbuilt Show is a curation of the best custom motorcycles around. Hosted by Revival Cycles, a renowned motorcycle shop here in Austin, Tx. Year after year, they bring together the best exhibition of custom motorcycles to one central location.
Cafes, brats, choppers, sports bikes and everything in between. Some toeing the line of OEM+ while others are so full throttle custom they’re almost unrecognizable from their stock form. Both two stroke and four stroke power plants share the floor with their full electric brethren. Some built for the street while others built for the dirt. No matter what or how it was built, it was to the nines and broke what ever cookie cutter pre-notion that came to your head when hearing those descriptions.
With over 100+ bikes in attendance, it was hard to choose which ones to give the most of my attention to. Luckily though, ANY bike within arms length was worth my time.
A few notable bikes include this Streamline Triumph,
A dressed down CB550 casually toting a turbocharger
A Triumph T120R that was given a second life after a wildfire back in 2020.
and this R100 built by 72 Performance.
Every bike in attendance was truely a work of art. So it was only natural to have artists live painting, drawing, and tattooing in the same building.
If motorcycles weren't your thing, they even opened up the floor and brought in a rad collection of cars. A collection so vast that I would imagine some of those vehicles have never and will never cross paths again. I mean… a Lancia Stratos HF, a Jeff Gordon Monte Carlo, a 911 GT3 R, and a 6 time World Land Speed Record winning ’52 Buick?! It’s insanity to have all of these under the same roof.
Last but not least, no motorcycle show would be complete without some stunt riding. The Ives brothers came through with the Wall of Death and absolutely killed it. No pun intended…
This show is truely about the bikes and the builders and it always will be. I encrouage you to catch the next one, you won't be dissapointed!
